Images shows How Genetics affects our heart health

Genetics and Heart Disease

We are working in non-invasive cardiology since 2008. We have more than 12 years of experience to understand different types of heart disease patients like Heart failure patients, PSVT Cases, heart blockages patients, heart valve patients, Cardiomegaly cases, Congenital heart disease cases, Cardiomyopathy, and others.

Cholesterol and Triglycerides are considered as primary reasons for a Heart blockage. It means, if we consume more of them, then there is maximum chances of having heart blockages.

Many times it happens – A patient comes to us and say to our doctor-

Sir: I am a vegetarian,

I don’t take fat foods

I don’t take milk and milk products

I don’t take alcohol

I am a non-smoker

I use very less edible oil

I do walk regularly since very long

I do yoga and pranayama

I am a stress free person

Still I have blockages in my heart, How?

It is a common problem of many patients, the reason behind is “OUR GENETICS”

It might occur, if we have a family history of heart disease (coronary artery disease),  It shows up in the future generation. In more simple words-

If you have heart disease problems in a generation then, it may appear in you as well.

The liver produces cholesterol, In some persons, the liver produces surplus cholesterol, which starts depositing in heart arteries and produces heart blockages.

The liver is the cholesterol creating organ in our body.  In certain individuals liver produces abundance cholesterol, it starts depositing in the arteries of heart and produces heart blockages.

If your dad’s liver tendency is delivering abundance cholesterol. It might happen that  your liver may likewise deliver overabundance cholesterol even when you don’t take cholesterol (Fat) rich foods.

That’s how “Genetics plays an important role in heart disease”

If you have a family background of heart disease, go for normal medical tests after 25 years of age, like Lipid Profile, HBA1c etc. Keep an eye of your cholesterol level and triglyceride level.

After the age of 30 years, a person should go for a “Preventive Heart Check-Up” as per the guidance of a doctor.

At any point of time if you feel any heart diseases symptoms like chest pain, breathlessness, chest heaviness, shoulder pain, back pain, exertion, Jaw pain, Walk through angina, etc. You need to meet a Cardiologist in the city urgently.

Description

If your father has a tendency of hyperlipidemia (His lever produces excess cholesterol) Then it is possible that this tendency may also pass to the next generation
